Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join one of our UK-based client teams. This role will support the day-to-day finance function, ensuring company accounts are maintained accurately, financial records are kept up to date, and accounting processes run efficiently. You'll work closely with the Managing Director and play an important role in supporting the wider business with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks.

  • Prepare and maintain statutory accounts and financial records.
  • Process invoices, expenses, payments, and bank reconciliations accurately.
  • Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, journals, and cash transaction records.
  • Monitor credit control, chase outstanding debt, and ensure records remain up to date.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and third-party providers regarding finance-related queries.
  • Update company accounts, systems, and procedural documentation.
  • Support the wider finance function with general accounting and administrative duties.
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, or Finance Administration role
  • Experience processing invoices, reconciliations, ledgers, and general accounting duties.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and able to manage confidential information professionally.
