Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS)

Our client is seeking an experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their Cape Town office. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially astute professional with a strong consulting background and extensive experience delivering professional quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional quantity surveying services from project inception to final account
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets, and financial reports
• Compile tender documentation and manage procurement processes
• Administer construction contracts and assess variations and claims
• Monitor project costs and provide commercial advice to clients
• Prepare payment certificates and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors where required

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP
• Minimum of 10 years' post-graduate experience
• Proven long-term experience within a Professional Quantity Surveying consultancy
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
• Excellent report-writing, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
