Junior Structural Engineer | Consulting Industry

Our client s seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join its Durbanville office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and technically driven environment, working on a variety of structural engineering projects.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of structural engineering solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional developments while receiving ongoing technical mentorship and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the structural design and analysis of building projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Produce and review structural drawings in collaboration with the drafting team.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction compliance.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African standards and engineering best practices.
• Support project delivery from concept design through to construction.
• Contribute to technical problem-solving and engineering solutions.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng in Civil Engineering (Structural).
• 4–7 years' structural engineering experience.
• Professional registration with Engineering Council of South Africa.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building design.

Software Requirements

• AutoCAD
• Prokon
• Revit

Training on company systems will be provided.
