Technical Support Agent – Atlantic Seaboard (Office based)
Salary – Lucrative package on offer, depending on experience and qualifications.
Our client, a leading UK-based Telecoms and IT company, is seeking a skilled Technical Support Agent to join their growing Cape Town office.
In this role, you will provide remote, telephone-based technical support to UK customer base, specializing in Cloud and Onsite Phone Systems (IPPBX / VoIP), Broadband/Internet, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.

Provide professional technical support for inbound calls, support emails or live chat focusing on customer needs.
Cloud/Onsite Phone Systems (IPPBX/VoIP) including IP Voice, Bicom, IPECS (Telkom Opticon), and 3CX.
Equipment such as Yealink Handsets, DECT devices, and Headsets.
Internet connections including Broadband, Mobile Broadband, and Ethernet Leased Lines.
Networks such as routers, switches, Wi Fi, as well as occasional support for email, mobile devices, mobile broadband, and basic IT issues.
Take ownership of faults or programming requests, managing them from initial contact through to resolution while proactively updating customers.
Log and track issues with suppliers or customer IT teams to resolve faults promptly and meet KPIs.
Escalate faults that are outside of SLA with suppliers, ensuring swift resolution.
Participate in remote training sessions to support new products added to the portfolio.
Outage management
Matric / Grade 12
Relevant certifications, diploma or degree (advantageous)
Strong telephone-based customer support experience with excellent communication skills.
Proven troubleshooting capability in VoIP phone systems, Internet Connectivity Service and LAN Network support.
Must have experience in 3CX or Yeastar
Willing to work shifts according to UK hours, including weekends.
Desirable Experience
Background in telecommunications support.
Strong understanding of ISP/Telecoms environment, for example local ISP’s (MWEB, RSA Web, Octotel etc.)
Previous experience supporting UK customers or working with UK connectivity processes.
