Our client in the Manufacturing industry has a new vacancy for a Stores Controller based in Port Elizabeth

POSITION INFO

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Receiving, inspecting and verifying incoming goods Accurate stock control, recording and documentation Stock issuing, distribution and inventory management Stock taking, cycle counts and inventory reconciliation Supervision, coaching and coordination of warehouse staff Warehouse operations planning and cross-functional coordination QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Grade 12 (Matric) (Mathematics will be advantageous). Completed tertiary qualification (minimum NQF Level 5) in Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain Management or a related field, with 3-4 years' experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment. OR A minimum of 10 years' proven experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment (essential). Advantageous Experience working on the Fourth Shift warehouse management system. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid Forklift Licence (essential) Excellent attendance record with an impeccable disciplinary record Strong leadership, communication and people management skills Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and organisational skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines High level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability
