An established and respected engineering and fabrication company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their team.

This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong quality background who is passionate about ensuring manufacturing excellence and compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, monitoring in-process production activities, and verifying finished products against client specifications and quality requirements. You will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality concerns while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality management systems. Education: Relevant Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, or Technical qualification advantageous ISO 9001 exposure or related quality certifications beneficial Job Experience & Skills Required: Minimum 7 years' experience in a quality control role within an engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Strong knowledge of inspection methods, tolerances, and measuring equipment including callipers, micrometres, and gauges Conduct dimensional inspections, visual checks, and quality audits Document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately Maintain inspection records, calibration certificates, and quality documentation Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work effectively with production teams to resolve quality-related issues Advantageous Skills: Experience within mechanical or structural fabrication environments Knowledge of welding processes and applicable standards such as AWS, ISO, and SANS Exposure to ISO 9001 systems and internal auditing processes Experience compiling or working with Quality Control Plans (QCPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality checklists Basic understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) principles Apply now!
