SAICA Trainee Accountant – Stellenbosch

We are a growing audit and accounting practice based in Stellenbosch , offering SAICA training contracts to motivated candidates ready to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA).

About the role

We’re looking for 1st and 2nd year SAICA trainees to join our team on training contracts of 3–5 years (duration depends on your academic route). You’ll rotate through audit, accounting, and tax engagements, working directly with our partners and senior staff on a varied client portfolio.

Requirements

• SAICA-accredited B.Com/B.Compt degree or studing towards one, or currently completing or have completed your PGDA/CTA/Honours
• Strong academic record
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Able to work efficiently under pressure and manage study/work balance
• Own transport advantageous

Responsibilities and Duties

• Complete Learnership Contract with The South African Instituted of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
• Audit Pre-Engagement & Planning
• Perform Audit Procedures
• Finalise and Conclude based on audit evidence obtained
• Interact directly with clients and managing client relations
• Prepare reports such as Engagement Letter, Letter to management among others
• Preparations of Tax, VAT, EMP201 & EMP501 returns along with necessary reconciliations and related administrative duties.
• Preparation of accounting records, year end adjustments and Drafting Annual Financial Statements.
