Company and Job Description Our client is a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced operational environment. They are looking for a People Services Officer to support the People Services function by ensuring accurate payroll processing, effective time and attendance management, compliance with labour legislation, and the successful execution of Occupational Health & Safety and ESG initiatives. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and process monthly payroll accurately and on time. Manage Time & Attendance records, leave reconciliations, and attendance reporting. Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, payroll regulations, and company policies. Support Occupational Health & Safety compliance through audits, inspections, reporting, and corrective actions. Assist with ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, and employee wellness programmes. Investigate and resolve payroll, attendance, and employee-related queries. Compile reports for internal audits and management. Partner with line managers to promote best practices across People Services. Job Experience and Skills Required Education National Diploma or Degree in Finance, Payroll Administration or a related field. Occupational Health & Safety, SAMTRAC or ESG qualifications will be advantageous. Experience 3-5 years' experience in Payroll, Finance, OHS, ESG, or a similar People Services role. Experience working within a multi-site operational environment will be advantageous. Strong understanding of South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, OHS Act and COIDA. Skills Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel. Experience using payroll systems such as PaySpace, Sage Payroll or similar. Experience with Time & Attendance systems. Strong analytical, reporting, planning, and organisational skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Clear criminal and ITC record. Willingness to travel to various sites and work after hours when required. Apply now!
