Job Title: Bilingual Property Bookkeeper (French/English)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented

Bilingual Property Bookkeeper fluent in both

French and English to support property management operations. This role involves bookkeeping, data entry, rent payment processing, and serving as a point of contact for tenant complaints. The ideal candidate will act as a secretary for property management, ensuring smooth communication and accurate financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including rent payments and property expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized financial records.
  • Serve as a complaint center representative, handling tenant inquiries and concerns professionally in both French and English.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, and monthly financial reports.
  • Support property managers with administrative and clerical tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec rental program requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial documentation.

Required Software Proficiency

  • QuickBooks (for bookkeeping and financial reporting)
  • Microsoft Excel (for spreadsheets and data management)
  • Quebec Rental Program Software (for property-specific compliance and tenant records)

Work Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of bookkeeping or property management experience.
  • Proven ability to handle bilingual communications (French and English).
