Utilities Manager- GMR2 Heidelburg Gauteng Role Summary: Join a leading FMCG company in the role of Utilities Manager- GMR2, based in Heidelberg, South Africa. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Utilities Services at the Heidelberg factory site. Key Responsibilities: Utilities Management: Ensure compliance with OHS regulations and General Machinery Regulations, maintaining 100% utilities availability. Equipment Maintenance: Develop and manage maintenance functions for utilities supply machinery. Energy Management: Monitor and report energy usage across the factory. Target Setting: Set and review performance targets for the Utilities team. Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation, ISO standards, and Site safety policies. IWS Development: Implement IWS Standards and processes. People Development: Identify, train, and develop talent within the department. Key Success Factors: Deliver improvements to manufacturing and business processes. Build internal expert capability and reduce external dependency. Reduce utilities running costs and environmental impact. Drive overall improvements in factory performance metrics. Requirements: B.Sc. in an Engineering field GCC certified, GMR 2.1 certification, or ECSA accreditation Minimum 10 years of Engineering/Utilities experience with 5 years in a management role Technical knowledge of utilities equipment and general manufacturing processes Project management and multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge Energy and water management expertise, LEAN/TPM knowledge Budget setting, problem-solving, and customer management skills Good communication skills and IT proficiency If you are a seasoned Utilities Manager with a passion for operational excellence in the FMCG sector, apply now to be part of our dynamic team.
