SUMMARY

We're looking for an experienced HTML5 banner developer to bring pixel-perfect, performant display advertising to life. We have a permanent hybrid role in Johannesburg

POSITION INFO

What you'll do - Build HTML5 banners that meet the latest specs and best practices, optimised for performance and file size - Interpret a single design and adapt it across up to 10+ different sizes while respecting the original layout and composition - Implement animation using Lottie, Rive or similar libraries, plus hand-coded motion where needed - Compress and optimise video for banner contexts without sacrificing quality - Deliver banner sets that comply with the specs of platforms such as Google Ads, AEM, Adform and common DSPs - Switch between multiple parallel projects within a single day, against tight deadlines What you bring - Solid knowledge of the latest HTML5 specs and techniques (CSS3, vanilla JS, GSAP or equivalent) - A strong design eye: you sense when a layout works or breaks on a new format, and you resolve it independently - Demonstrable experience with video compression and optimisation - Experience with Lottie, Rive or other animation libraries - The ability to handle multiple small projects at the same time, or in one day, without losing composure - Strong, proactive communication: you flag issues early and bring solutions, not just problems Nice to have - Experience with review and delivery workflows such as Filestage and AEM staging environments - Knowledge of banner animation performance and optimising CPU and rendering load - A feel for motion design and timing, not just the technical execution - Working knowledge of a design tool like Figma to export and interpret assets correctly - Comfortable with version control (Git) - An eye for cross-browser and cross-device consistency Please call us on 0100300127 NB: Should you not hear from us within 6 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
