MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple clients, preparing management accounts, and building long-term client relationships within a collaborative and professional environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, drafting Annual Financial Statements (AFS), assisting with tax compliance, performing month-end and year-end processes, completing reconciliations, conducting financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with audit and independent review queries. This role offers excellent long-term growth into a more client-facing financial management position.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or 5+ years’ relevant experience)
• SAIPA or CIMA qualification essential
• Experience preparing management accounts and Annual Financial Statements
• Knowledge of South African tax compliance and statutory returns
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Xero, Draftworx, Sage, or similar
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
