Field Sales Manager - West Coast

Overall Responsibility
The Field Sales Manager (FSM) is tasked with new business in the region, as well as maintaining and growing existing relationships and accounts for the West Coast. Weekly customer call cycles will be established to maximise the time spent in the trade. The role focusses on the full spectrum of on-consumption, corporate retailers, franchise outlets and independent liquor chains.
Focus Area 1: Sales
Implement and develop promotional activity to drive consistent pull in relation to the channel management process
Influence liquor retail pricing within segments
Maintain model stock levels within shops with minimum of 2 weeks cover
Using Commercial conversations/arguments/calculations to influence sales & merchandising
Influence the placement of our products to maximise accessibility on the best fridge doors, in cold rooms & floor space
Manage B.T.L placements of POS & & sell the SHP range of products to all customers in your CMD (Customer Master Database)
Focus Area 2: Administration
Determine pre-call planning objectives
Compile daily / weekly reports
Manage sales and administration
Handle customer and consumer complaints and queries
Efficient use of company apps to place orders and capture KPI’s
Focus Area 3: Outlet Service
Strong local knowledge of the geography of the customer base
Develop great business relationships with the owner/manager to achieve decisions
Maintain customer daily call rate and frequency
Conduct regular customer performance reviews using available data
Requirements Of The Role
Matric certificate or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree/similar qualification in Sales/Marketing
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales/Marketing in a FMCG environment
Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver's license
Proficient in Microsoft office
Merchandising Experience Strongly Preferred
Beverage industry experience strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
Retail mathematics to develop customers business
Sales mathematics to understand targets by category, brand & SKU in cases & Liters/Hectolitres
Sound interpersonal skills & ability to build relationships & work across business teams
Ability to work independently
