Chief Operating Officer – Pan-African Media

Are you ready to shape the future of African broadcasting and media technology? A dynamic, fast-growing media and innovation group is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operations across its flagship 24-hour news channel and group-wide support services.

This is a pivotal executive role, partnering directly with the CEO to translate bold strategic vision into operational excellence. You’ll oversee news broadcasting, human resources, legal & risk, procurement, and facilities—driving efficiency, innovation, and performance across the workforce.

POSITION INFO

As COO, you'll act as the key integrator across multiple business lines, ensuring coherence and alignment in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You'll be entrusted with building a culture of accountability, agility, and disruptive innovation while managing relationships with broadcasters, regulators, suppliers, and partners across 52 African countries. We're looking for a seasoned leader with 15+ years of operational management experience (media/broadcasting context preferred), strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in operational and strategic execution. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be advantageous. This is more than a role-it's an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the African media landscape.
