An exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance leader to make a meaningful impact within a rapidly expanding organisation.

Our client is an established and growing product supply and distribution business operating in a dynamic,commercially-driven environment.

They are seeking a commercially astute Head of Finance to join their team in Centurion, Johannesburg.

The Head of Finance would be hands-on in leading the finance function while partnering closely with executives to drive strategy, growth and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and partner with executives on strategy, growth, pricing and profitability.
• Deliver financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, modelling and commercial insights.
• Ensure accounting, tax, statutory and internal compliance while coordinating audits.
• Manage banking, working capital, funding, trade finance, forex exposure and hedging.
• Oversee the financial aspects of imports, exports, procurement, freight, customs and landed costing.
• Partner with supply chain, logistics and warehousing to strengthen controls, efficiency and working capital.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock controls, valuations, provisions, counts and variances.
• Analyse costing, margins and customer, product, supplier and channel profitability.
• Support commercial negotiations, contracts, tenders, investments and new business initiatives.
• Build and develop the finance team, implementing scalable processes, controls, systems and automation.
• Create structure, manage competing priorities and promote collaboration across the business.

Qualifications and Experience

• CA(SA) qualification is non-negotiable.
• Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification commercial experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Manufacturing/FMCG costing experience is essential.
• Imports and exports experience; forex exposure advantageous.
• Commercially astute, strategic and forward-thinking.

Salary

• R1,200,000 - R1,400,000 per annum
