R&D CAD Technician

Our client in Benoni is looking for a technically minded R&D and CAD / Technical Support Technician to join their technical team.

This is hands-on technical work: CAD drafting, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting the ongoing refinement of their ranges. N4–N6 qualification in Mechanical and/or Architectural or a similar technical field and experience with AutoCAD and Revit required.

Requirements

• N4–N6 qualification in Mechanical, Architectural or a similar technical field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• A practical technical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Aluminium, window, door, manufacturing working experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist with technical support for agents, partners, and internal team members.
• R&D development and product improvements.
• Help compile technical manuals, installation guides, training documents, and product information.
• Assist with practical training for agents and partners.
• Support the design and development of new aluminium window and door systems.
• Assist with testing new hardware, components, and product solutions.
• Help document technical findings, improvements, and best practices.
• Support the technical team with problem-solving on projects where required.
