Full Stack Developer (React Native & Node.js) - Cape Town

Our client is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a fast-paced product engineering team building modern web and mobile solutions. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working across the full technology stack, contributing to architecture decisions, and delivering high-quality applications that directly impact customers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new mobile application features using React Native.
• Build and enhance web applications using React, Node.js, and Express.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
• Improve application performance and reduce technical debt.
• Support multi-tenant platform configuration and onboarding.
• Develop payment and billing functionality, including wallet and payment integrations.
• Work closely with product, operations, sales, and customer support teams.
• Produce technical documentation and engineering specifications.
• Monitor platform performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage AI development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong React Native development experience.
• Solid React, Node.js, and Express expertise.
• Experience with MongoDB and Mongoose.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with queue-based processing technologies.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable application design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
