We’re looking for a Pricing Specialist who can help us stay competitive and profitable.
Education
- Matric with Mathematical subjects
- 3-year Import or Export related qualification at NQF level 5.
Knowledge and experience
- Knowledge in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry in a controller / estimator capacity
- Experience in Air, Sea, Road and warehousing in both Import and Export required.
- INCO Terms
- Knowledge of DGR, Temp Control and High Value cargo an advantage
- Product specific freight handling & movement requirements
- Basic international trade principles
- Applicable sections of Import & Export control Act
- Geography
- Aligning in co-ordinance with Functional business objectives and strategies
- Understanding of the Rate structures applicable for Freight Forwarding
- Carrier & depot conditions of trade. Tariff calculation concepts
- National currencies and international codes
- Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel) and Shipshape an advantage
- Negotiation skills with carriers an added advantage
- Detail oriented - Accuracy and attention to details
- Problem solving skills and decision-making skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills (written &verbal)
- Time management – must work well under pressure
