As we continue to grow, we are seeking an individual to join our team as a Road Transport Intern.
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct checks that all documents are recived from Transporters:
- Signed/Stamped Pod
- Customer GRV/AOD
- Signed Pallet Slip
- Pallet Return Slip (Chep)
- Claim documents
- Transport PO
- Transport delivery Note
- Make sure PO is made out to correct transporter
Conduct checks on Transporter invoices:
- PO number reflecting on invoice
- Delivery Note reflecting on invoice
- Transport invoice rate matched Syspro price
- Invoices made out on correct company: RCL/QS
Action all PODs with claims or return noted:
- Pass a non-stock related credit (ZCR) and customer
- Bill transporter with non-stock related debit (ZDR)
- Print invoice for transporter
- Scan invoice with supporting documents and mail to transporter
Transport statement reconciliation:
- Follow up on outstanding lnvoices
- Make sure invoices and pods are received daily
- Handle all creditors queries with invoice discrepancies, deductions
- Monthly report on old open TPO's
- Responsible for any transport billings and credits (damages/pallets/short/deliveries/accidents/hi-jackings)
- Porper record keeping and traker management of all transport billings and credits
- Monthly/weekly transport feedback to management for transport SLA meetings
- Monthly discussion with creditors to discuss issues and resolve all transport account queries
Fowarding of all approved invoices to creditors for payment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Studying Diploma in Road Transport Management
- Work Integrated Learning Letter
- Learner Agreement
