We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee Mechanical Engineering to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering , or equivalent .
- Strong academic performance .
- Superior English reading, writing, speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and attention to detail required.
- MS Office full proficiency - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
Duties & Responsibilities
Administering Maintenance System
- Generation of PM’s weekly
- Reporting daily maintenance
- Linking cost of spares to maintenance (assigning spares to maintenance system)
- Creating work orders for spares, or job cards
- Generating monthly reports of maintenance system with the full analysis of the KPI’s.
Preventative Maintenance of Plant
- Service of the UBT and Chemical room machinery
- Installations of new equipment (UBT & Chemical room)
- Inspection of machinery
- Machine status (safety) for the entire plant
- Creating work instructions for new machinery installed (Bulk Foam, UBT, Chemical room)
- Ensure plant is running at 100% efficiency (pre- run preparation prior start-up, Calibrate, setting the injectors etc.)
- Being fully involved in the production running of the UBT- be on the stand-by at the machines during the production runs.
CIP- Machine Improvement
- Negotiation of prices with contractors and engaging with them
- Raising PO’s on the on the system for technical spares
- Updating maintenance spares in excel spreadsheet
- Mentoring of the engineering students.
- Ensuring that the statutory requirements are met.
- Ensure maintenance spend is in budget.
- Validate that new formulations are able to run on the machine and not fall outside the range of the equipment (critical)
- Ensure preventative maintenance is run in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance schedule.
- Ensure that all KPI’s listed on the maintenance dashboard are achieved.
Continuous improvement
- Drive continuous improvements suggestions to maximise UBT efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintenance & Safety
- Ensures all planned maintenance schedules are adhered to
- Ensure safe working conditions and the application of safe working practices.
