POSITION INFO

Our client is a leading commercial refrigeration and cooling solutions provider operating across South Africa, dedicated to delivering top-tier maintenance, installation, and field service support to commercial clients. We are seeking a trade-tested Refrigeration Technician based in KwaZulu-Natal to lead site installations, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot defective commercial refrigeration units, and supervise junior technical staff in the field. Key responsibilities Maintain, service, and troubleshoot existing commercial refrigeration cabinets in the trade. Carry out new cabinet installations and ensure all job sites are left clean and safe. Supervise, mentor, and guide junior technical staff on-site, ensuring high standards of work and professional conduct. Ensure strict compliance with Health and Safety standards on all customer sites. Accurately complete, sign, and stamp job cards, delivery notes, and expense reconciliations for prompt submission to the Helpdesk. Take responsibility for company assets, including vehicle maintenance, clean driving practices, and tool care. Provide professional customer service on-site and assist with monthly stock takes. Requirements Refrigeration Mechanic Trade Test (Commercial). Valid Safe Handling & Gas Certification. Valid South African driver's licence. Proven experience servicing commercial refrigeration or air-conditioning systems. Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Willingness to work on a standby rotation. Attributes Excellent leadership and team supervision abilities. Strong fault-finding and decision-making skills under pressure. High level of personal integrity and professional presentation.
