Registered Nurse - ICU Experienced - Gauteng

Join a leading private hospital in Johannesburg, Gauteng, as an ICU Experienced Registered Nurse. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional with strong intensive care nursing experience, excellent clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a high-acuity environment.

*Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with hospital policies and best practice standards.

*Conduct ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatment.

*Recognise and respond promptly to changes in patients' conditions.

*Administer prescribed medication, intravenous therapy, and other treatments safely and accurately.

*Monitor and manage patients requiring intensive nursing care and close observation.

*Operate and monitor ICU equipment in accordance with hospital protocols.

*Assist with procedures and interventions as required within the ICU environment.

*Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation.

*Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control measures and patient safety standards.

*Collaborate effectively with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

*Provide education and support to patients' families where appropriate.

*Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and adherence to SANC standards.

Education

*Diploma or Degree in General Nursing

*Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

*3–5 years of ICU nursing experience

Experience

*Previous experience working in an Intensive Care Unit

*Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills

*Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment

*Excellent communication and teamwork skills

*Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

*Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
