Practice Automation Specialist and Consultant

A professional accounting firm is seeking a Practice Automation Specialist and Consultant to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency within the accounting practice. The role focuses on streamlining repetitive processes through automation tools, workflow improvements, and technology-driven solutions while supporting continuous operational improvement.

Experience Requirements

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (post-articles profile)
• 1–3 years' accounting practice experience, including articles, within a small-to-medium-sized accounting firm
• Proven experience automating repetitive processes through self-initiated projects (this is an essential requirement)
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Excel Macros, Power Query, Google Apps Script, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, APIs, scripting, or AI-enabled workflow automation
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement practical automation solutions
