Job Purpose
To ensure that correct grading and grouping of grain received are done according to company policies and procedures and reported.
Key Responsibilities
Role
The core functions define the key areas of responsibility for this role, reflecting the accountabilities and expected outputs outlined in the competency-based profile. These are the primary activities through which the role delivers value to the business:
- Responsible for suppling production with good quality grain
- Ensuring management of stock levels
- Ensure that all data captured accordingly
- Responsible for health and safety as well as hygiene standards
- in the department according to set policies and procedures
- Ensure that correct grading of grain is done
- Ensure correct weighing is done and documentation completed
- for raw materials received and stored in silos accordingly
Experience And Qualifications
To perform effectively in this role, the following minimum qualifications and work experience are required:
- Matic / Grade 12 Certificate of equivalent
- Grain Grading Certificate
- Grain Fumigation Certificate (would be advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years grain grading experience
- Experience in food safety and hygiene audits
- Excellent administrative skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office Packages)
