Our client, a prominent player in the retail and FMCG sectors known for innovation and growth, is seeking a seasoned Accounting & Reporting Specialist ready to elevate financial operations and reporting standards. Duties: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Compile information for statutory reports, including VAT, tax, and other regulatory filings. Develop and maintain financial reporting templates, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve reporting efficiency and insights. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, reporting accuracy, and operational processes. Collaborate with various business units to analyse financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Assess financial risks and offer commentary on performance and deviations from budgets or forecasts. Support audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance. Mentor junior accounting staff to develop their reporting capabilities and understanding of internal processes. Prepare and analyse information for BBBEE reporting requirements. Requirements: Newly qualified Chartered Accountant 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting and reporting experience. Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting standards. Proficiency with Excel, Sage X3 Finance, and financial reporting tools. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Nice to Have: Experience in the retail or FMCG sectors.
