PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

Based in East London with a Subsidiary of a listed Construction Group

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a payroll environment
  • Strong planning, organising and attention-to-detail skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English. isiXhosa advantageous
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Focus on Excel)
  • South African citizen with own reliable transport

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of payroll data prior to processing
  • Track received data and source documents and follow up on outstanding information
  • Maintain attendance system
  • Generate payroll reports as required
  • Assist with month-end payroll processes, employment equity data and audit documentation
  • Support HR operations including onboarding, terminations, recruitment and labour inspections
  • Manage on-going staff development and training
  • Assist in the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Assist with internal disciplinary enquiries and grievance hearings
  • Additional Responsibility – Assist with any other administrative task when time permits
