LEARNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY: FURNITURE MAKING (UNEMPLOYED YOUTH)

Location: KwaZulu-Natal (KZN)

Duration: 12 Months

Stipend: Monthly stipend provided

Training: Accredited Furniture Making Learnership

A structured Furniture Making Learnership Programme is now available for 10 unemployed individuals in KwaZulu-Natal.

This programme is funded through the FP&M SETA and offers a combination of:

  • Workplace experience
  • Formal classroom training through an accredited training provider
  • Practical skills development in furniture manufacturing

Successful candidates will gain valuable skills and an opportunity to build a career in the manufacturing and furniture industry.

Basic furniture manufacturing techniques

  • Use of tools and machinery
  • Workplace safety and compliance
  • Assembly and production processes
  • Practical on-the-job training

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Be between the ages of 18–35 (preferred)
  • Have a Grade 10–12 qualification (minimum recommended)
  • Be willing to commit for the full 12-month programme
  • Be able to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Have a strong willingness to learn and develop skills
