A leading private healthcare facility in George, Garden Route is seeking a suitably qualified Medical Officer - Emergency Unit to join its dynamic Emergency Centre team. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated medical professional with experience in emergency medicine who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Requirements: MBChB qualification. Registered with the HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner. Previous experience working in an Emergency Unit/Emergency Centre within a hospital environment. ATLS, ACLS and PALS certifications will be advantageous. Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills. Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Key Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with emergency and acute medical conditions. Provide immediate stabilisation and emergency treatment to critically ill and injured patients. Perform emergency procedures within your scope of practice. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and healthcare standards. Participate in clinical governance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
