Stores Supervisor

Cato Ridge, KwaZulu-Natal

An established manufacturing and engineering business is looking for an experienced Stores Supervisor to oversee its stores function and ensure the efficient control of inventory, materials, tools and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong inventory management experience who enjoys maintaining accurate stock control, leading a small team, and supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the stores department.
• Manage the receiving, issuing and control of stock, materials and equipment.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and regular stock counts.
• Oversee stock movements using Syspro (or similar ERP systems).
• Maintain stores housekeeping and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Lead and support stores personnel while driving best practices.
• Coordinate deliveries, collections and material allocation to projects.
• Monitor tools, equipment and inventory to minimise losses and maximise efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 2–3 years' experience in a Stores Supervisor or similar role.
• Relevant Diploma or Trade qualification (Electrical Engineering or similar advantageous).
• Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments.
• Strong inventory control and stock management experience.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office); Syspro experience is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license.

Salary: R25 000 - R32 000 (negotiable). Benefits include Medical aid, Pension Fund and Bonus.
