POSITION INFO

Our client, a leading player in the fintech and digital lending space, is seeking a skilled Decision Scientist - Credit Risk to join their high-performing Risk team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full model development lifecycle, from data extraction and analysis through to implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and optimise credit scorecards. Monitor portfolio performance, approval rates, bad debt, and credit health metrics. Support credit decisioning strategies and decision engine implementations. Identify scorecard drift and recommend improvements. Build analytical reports and monitoring frameworks. Partner with technical and risk teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Job Experience and Skills Required: Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Computer Science. 5+ years' credit risk experience within unsecured lending, BNPL, short-term lending, or a similar consumer credit environment. Experience building, validating, and monitoring credit scorecards. Strong understanding of bureau data and credit risk metrics. Advanced SQL skills. Experience with Python, R, or SAS. Exposure to decision engines, ideally GDS Link, would be advantageous. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Apply now!
