ESSENTIAL SKILLS

POSITION INFO

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, build and operate run-time automation and orchestration that integrates Zero Trust interfaces, APIs and multiple data sources. Automate repetitive, testable and operational activities across workflows, infrastructure, deployments and runbooks. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions to deliver automation artifacts reliably. Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management (Ansible) to provision and manage environments. Develop and maintain Python and Bash automation tooling, scripts and reusable libraries. Design and operate workflow orchestration solutions (Temporal, Camunda, Step Functions) for event-driven and long-running processes. Create and maintain SOAR-style runbooks and automated remediation playbooks to reduce manual incident response. Implement robust testing strategies including API testing and automated regression testing for automation outputs. Ensure idempotency, retry, compensation and error handling patterns are applied across orchestrations and integrations. Integrate with APIs, webhooks, and message-based systems to enable end-to-end automated flows. Define, document and meet operational SLAs (availability, latency, MTTR) for automation services and maintain capacity plans. Own automation alerting, runbooks and participate in incident response/on-call rotations to ensure rapid remediation Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize automation in production; perform root cause analysis for failures and continuously improve reliability. Identify automation opportunities, improve processes and drive adoption of automation best practices. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Extensive hands-on experience (typically 6+ years) in automation engineering, DevOps or similar roles with strong Linux experience.
