Project Support Internship

Braun Management

Braun Management works with executive teams to solve organizational problems that have become too internal to fix. We provide rigorous analysis and evidence-backed conclusions to help leadership navigate structural truths that hinder growth.

The role

A leading South African financial services provider is undertaking a significant restructuring of its internal operations, and Braun Management is providing the structural analysis to support this shift. This Project Support Internship exists to assist our consultants in managing the complex data and documentation requirements of this engagement. As a fully remote team member, you will ensure that project tracking is precise and that the information we provide to the client remains accurate and clear. This position is a paid internship, offering a competitive rate for someone starting their professional career in project support and management.

What you will do

  • Maintain and update project schedules to ensure milestones for the South African financial services project are met on time.
  • Organize and categorize project documentation, including meeting transcripts, research notes, and client data sets.
  • Assist in drafting clear, concise summaries of project progress and internal discussions for the consulting team.
  • Monitor task lists and follow up with team members to ensure all deliverables are prepared according to our quality standards.
  • Conduct initial reviews of data to identify areas of organizational friction or operational bottlenecks.
  • Prepare visual aids and charts that represent structural data and decision rights for client presentations.
  • Verify the accuracy of all reporting documents to ensure that the evidence provided to clients is reliable and consistent.
  • Support the project lead with administrative coordination, ensuring all remote communication channels are updated regularly.

What we are looking for

  • A genuine interest in how complex business systems work and a desire to understand the mechanics of organizational structure.
  • The ability to write in a professional and direct manner, avoiding jargon in favor of clarity and precision.
  • High attention to detail, specifically when dealing with project timelines and internal documentation.
  • A preference for unglamorous but necessary work, such as data verification and project tracking.
  • The discipline to manage tasks independently in a fully remote environment.
  • A background in business, social sciences, or a related field where analytical thinking is required.
  • Curiosity about accountability and how decision rights are distributed within large corporations.
  • Proficiency with digital spreadsheets and document collaboration tools.

How we work

Success at Braun Management is built on the quality of our written documentation. Since our team is entirely remote, we avoid unnecessary meetings and instead rely on clear, thoughtful writing to share progress and solve problems. This approach requires every team member to be precise in their communication and disciplined in their daily routines. We value honesty and the ability to look at data objectively, even when it points toward difficult conclusions. Our culture is professional and grounded, focusing on solving structural issues through evidence rather than flashy presentations.

What we offer

  • Attractive monthly pay that is competitive for an internship in the current market.
  • A fully remote work schedule that allows for professional autonomy and flexibility.
  • Direct involvement in high-stakes projects for a major financial services provider.
  • Mentorship from professionals who prioritize intellectual rigor and clear communication.
  • A working environment that rewards evidence-backed thinking and precision.
  • Practical experience in project support, data analysis, and corporate consulting.

The contribution

This role is vital to ensuring that our engagement with the South African financial services provider moves forward without operational friction. By maintaining the administrative and analytical backbone of the project, you allow our senior consultants to focus on the deep structural work that the client requires. Your precision in tracking data and documenting decisions directly contributes to the clarity of the advice we provide. Ultimately, your support helps us provide a clear, written path forward for a leadership team facing complex organizational challenges.
