Digital Content Editor

Migration is looking for a mid-level Digital Content Editor to join our team full-time, based in Illovo.

This is an editing-led role for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can turn raw footage into polished, engaging content for our brands and clients. Video editing is the core focus, supported by videography and photography across campaigns, social content and client shoots.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit high-quality short- and long-form video for social media, digital campaigns and client channels.
• Create platform-specific content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital platforms.
• Enhance video using colour grading, sound design, captions, transitions, effects and motion graphics.
• Plan, shoot and edit promotional videos, social clips, interviews, event coverage, testimonials and behind-the-scenes content.
• Capture professional video and photography on location and in studio.
• Turn creative briefs into engaging, shareable content that meets campaign objectives and brand standards.
• Contribute ideas, stay informed on relevant trends, and work closely with the creative, marketing and client-service teams.
• Manage project files, assets and exports efficiently while delivering work on time and to a high standard.

Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in video editing, ideally within an agency, brand, production or digital-content environment.
• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing, videography and photography work.
• Strong storytelling ability, with an eye for pacing, composition, visual quality and audience retention.
• Experience shooting professional video and photography, including lighting, camera operation and audio capture.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, take feedback constructively and meet deadlines.
• Highly organised, collaborative and detail-oriented.

Editing and Production Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, including colour grading and audio adjustments.
• Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator for image editing and video-related assets.
• Strong understanding of camera settings, lighting, framing and sound capture.
