Instrument Mechanician x2

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• Maintain existing equipment – Pneumatic and Electronic.
• Maintain DCS system.
• Fault finding on all equipment and installations.
• Commissioning of new equipment.
• Undertake standby duties for entire plant.
• Participate in plant shutdown and project commissioning
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications, Experience And Personal Qualities

• Matric with recognised trade test in instrumentation and process control.
• 2 years’ experience in industry with exposure to Pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems (DCS).
• Exposure to high pressure boiler control would be an advantage.
• Hard working. Able to work in a team, displaying good communication skills.
• Good work ethic and principles, with attention to detail.
• Must be flexible in order to meet the challenges in a demanding environment
• Positive attitude towards safety.
