Finance Executive - Harare

Our client in FMCG, is on the market looking for a Finance Executive (FE) to play a crucial role in managing cash flow, preparing board reports, and ensuring tax compliance. Reporting directly to the Finance Director (FD).

The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker with strong business partnering skills, capable of operating at both operational and executive levels. They will possess excellent leadership abilities, sound judgement, and a track record of delivering financial excellence within the FMCG/ Retail environment.

• Lead and manage the overall finance and accounting function.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide commercial and financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with production, procurement, sales, and supply chain teams to improve performance and profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA/ACCA (Articles of clerkship association membership).
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 15–20 years’ progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role.
• Strong Commercial skills/ FMCG Manufacturing/ Retail Experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, budgeting, and cost accounting.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and commercial acumen.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools.
