Duties & Responsibilities
Moves and Churns Operations
- Complete furniture, equipment, and workspace relocation requests according to approved schedules.
- Assemble, disassemble, relocate, and install office furniture safely and efficiently.
- Assist with workplace reconfiguration projects and office setups.
- Support internal teams with relocations and space utilisation initiatives.
- Ensure all moved items are transported without damage.
- Conduct pre- and post-move inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of all completed move activities.
- Take photographic records where required for quality assurance purposes.
Asset and Equipment Management
- Assist with asset identification and labelling activities.
- Support inventory verification during moves.
- Ensure storage areas remain organised and compliant.
- Safeguard company and client assets during transportation and relocation.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Comply with all Tsebo and client SHEQ requirements.
- Follow safe lifting, moving, and handling practices.
- Wear required PPE at all times. Identify and report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Ensure tools and equipment remain serviceable and safe for use.
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver professional and responsive service to all clients and building occupants.
- Maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Respond to enquiries promptly and courteously.
- Escalate issues appropriately when necessary.
- Support a customer-first culture within facilities operations.
Administration and Reporting
- Update work orders and service requests accurately.
- Maintain records of completed moves and churns activities.
- Provide status updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Report equipment defects, incidents, and operational risks.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of workplace moves and churns processes.
- Furniture assembly and disassembly techniques.
- Basic maintenance and repair practices.
- Asset handling and labelling procedures.
- Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
- Customer service principles.
- Ability to interpret building layouts and floor plans.
- Basic reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in using common hand and power tools.
- Ability to use helpdesk or work order management systems.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid driver's licence (advantageous)
- Basic Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
Experience
- 1–3 years' experience in facilities services, moves and churns, furniture installation, maintenance, logistics, or related operations.
- Experience working in a corporate, campus, commercial, or facilities management environment.
- Experience using hand tools and furniture assembly equipment.
