Restaurant Waiter

A busy, well known venue in Hermanus is looking for experienced waiters and waitresses to join their front of house team.

This is a fast-paced environment with high covers and regular walk-ins, so it suits candidates who work well under pressure and enjoy a buzzing service floor. Strong tipping potential on top of the basic.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, take food and drink orders accurately
• Deliver attentive, well-paced table service throughout the shift
• Build rapport with guests and upsell where appropriate
• Keep sections clean, stocked and guest-ready at all times
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar to manage order timing
• Handle bills, payments and cash-ups correctly
• Support the wider team during busy periods and turnover

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1-2 years waitering experience in a busy restaurant or similar venue
• Confident, friendly manner with strong communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure
• Smart, presentable appearance
• Available to work shifts including evenings and weekends
• Reliable and a strong team player
