Machine Operator - Slitter

POSITION INFO

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to operate and maintain slitting equipment within our self-adhesive label manufacturing facility. Candidates with experience operating slitting machines are preferred; however, applicants with experience on hotmelt coaters, printing presses, ETI finishing equipment, Maan coaters or similar converting machinery are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality products safely, efficiently and in accordance with production schedules. Key Responsibilities

• Operate slitting machines safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines according to production specifications.
• Monitor product quality throughout production runs.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Minimise waste and maximise production efficiency.
• Ensure finished products meet company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Carry out routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
• Follow all quality, health and safety procedures.
• Assist with production changeovers when required. Grade 12 (Matric).
• Previous experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve minor machine issues.
• Ability to read production documentation and follow work instructions.
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime where required. Applicants with experience operating any of the following equipment will receive preference:
• Slitting machines
• Hotmelt coaters
• ETI finishing equipment
• Maan coating machines
• Flexographic or label printing presses
• Self-adhesive label converting equipment
• Any roll-to-roll converting machinery
