Production Support Assistant - Forklift Driver We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Production Support Assistant to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support to machine operators, help maintain a clean and organised production environment, and assist with the movement of raw materials and finished goods. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in being dependable and proactive. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist machine operators with general production tasks.
  • Remove waste material, trim, scrap and rubbish from production areas.
  • Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organised.
  • Supply operators with raw materials, packaging and consumables as required.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials.
  • Transport raw materials and finished products within the factory.
  • Ensure production areas comply with housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Assist during machine changeovers and production setup.
  • Follow company quality procedures and health & safety requirements.
  • Carry out any additional production support duties as assigned by supervisors. Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory environment will be advantageous.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required. Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Forklift Licence (highly advantageous).
  • Experience moving raw materials using forklifts or pallet handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse or production procedures. Personal Attributes

  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the self-adhesive label manufacturing or converting industry. Experience working with roll-to-roll production equipment, web tension control, label materials, paper or film converting, and maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be considered a significant advantage. Candidates with experience on slitting machines, hotmelt coaters, flexographic printing presses, ETI finishing equipment, Maan coating machines or similar converting machinery are strongly encouraged to apply.
