Emergency Ambulance Assistant (24/7 Emergency Response)

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Emergency Ambulance Assistant to join our emergency medical team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality pre-hospital emergency care and support emergency response operations while ensuring patient safety and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency medical incidents.
• Assess, stabilize, and provide emergency care to patients within the scope of practice.
• Assist with patient loading, transport, and safe handover to healthcare facilities.
• Ensure ambulances, equipment, and medical supplies are clean, stocked, and operational.
• Complete patient care reports and all required documentation accurately.
• Adhere to HPCSA regulations, company policies, and emergency medical protocols.
• Participate in standby duties and emergency response as required

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Relevant Emergency Care qualification (BAA, AEA, ECA, or higher).
• Current HPCSA registration.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Valid Code B driver's licence (Code C advantageous).
• Valid CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points in accordance with HPCSA requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in emergency medical services.
• Ability to work a 24/7 shift rotation, including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties in high-pressure emergency environments.
