Role Purpose

Ensure the quality of existing or new technical solutions in accordance with the business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements

Requirements Experience

• Minimum of 10 Years of strong experience in both manual and automation system testing
• Ability in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Developing test conditions, scenarios, cases, and scripts according to the specific test phases. (UI and API)
• Test Automation experience within SDLC, test lifecycle experience from test design to test execution and reporting.
• Apply concept of Agile Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with automation tools (Katalon, BrowserStack QTP.UFT, Selenium, Postman, Restassured, SoapUI)
• Experienced in the use of Bug life-cycle management software, such as Jira and QTest
• Programming experience beneficial
• Preferably scripting experience such as Java/Java Scripting
• Basic Bash scripting and Linux OS knowledge
• SQL knowledge
• Knowledge on Jenkins, GitLab and CI/CD process
• Experience with Test design techniques/Test planning
• Unit, Integration, Exploratory and end to end test experience.
• Solid web UI and back-end testing experience.
• Performance testing beneficial
• Experience working in cross-functional agile development teams.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative and agile work environment.
• A love for independent research and a passion for staying up to date with the latest testing practices and automation trends.
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed team, where you determine your tasks in coordination with co-workers, rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 6 in relevant field
• ISTQB foundation certification required.
• ISTQB Advance Technical Test Analyst preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement appropriate software test automation processes and procedures
• Design, develop and execute reusable and maintainable automated test scripts
• Take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts
• Lead, mentor and assist in up-skilling more junior members within the test automation environment
• UI Testing, Testing APIs / Web Services (REST/SOAP) Integration Testing
• Load/Performance Testing beneficial.
• Provide feedback to Agile development team to aid continuous improvement.
• Plan, oversee, and perform testing activities, including manual testing
• Knowledge on OpenAPI 3, oAuth2.0, basic Database SQL, wiremock and messaging systems beneficial
• Understanding of modern microservices-based architecture would be beneficial
