SUMMARY

Handman / Driver

Our client in the design and landscaping industry is on a recruitment drive for an honest, hardworking driver to join their growing team. The role is a physical role and requires a candidate who is physically fit and has the ability to work outdoors during all seasons.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Loading of the vehicle with whatever tools etc is needed for the day @ 06.30 am in Wilderness
• Collection of staff from Thembalethu @ 07:00 am
• Delivery of staff to various sites including on a farm in Mossel Bay / work site in George and Wilderness
• Ensure all tools consumables and other products are off-loaded on site and accounted for at the end of the day
• Assist with collection of any products from suppliers, and delivery to site as required
• Delivery of staff to Thembalethu, at the end of day
• Any handyman duties as required by management from time to time
• Communicate with the admin daily on staff attendance or absenteeism
• Filling in vehicle logbook and giving any slips in to Admin

POSITION INFO

Qualifications : Valid driver's license combined with a PDP - if no PDP must be comfortable getting one to ensure safety of staff transport Fluent in English and Afrikaans - Xhosa would be hugely beneficial hands-on and basic knowledge of hand tools and landscaping tools 3 years minimum in construction industry or as a general handman (advantageous) Competencies : Strong communication Problem solving skills Attention to detail Trustworthy Reliable Client centric Ability to work within a team environment (no hierarchy structure - everyone rolls up sleeves and gets stuck in) Physically fit Sober habits Preferred nonsmoker
