Calypso Developer

We are seeking a Calypso Developer to design, develop and support solutions within the Calypso trading platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Calypso, a solid understanding of capital markets, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions aligned to business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enhancements within the Calypso platform.
• Configure and customize Calypso modules including Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functionalities.
• Develop and maintain Calypso workflows, scheduled tasks, reports, and interfaces.
• Integrate Calypso with internal and external systems using APIs, messaging frameworks, and file-based integrations.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and environment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and adhere to development best practices.

Required skills & experience

• Proven experience working with the Calypso trading platform.
• Strong programming skills in Java
• Experience with Calypso APIs, customization, and configuration
• Understanding of financial products (e.g., REST/SOAP, messaging systems)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Candidate requirements & Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Calypso upgrades and system migrations.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of risk management and regulatory frameworks.
