Full Stack Developer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join their Cape Town-based technology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing innovative mobile and web solutions while contributing to architecture decisions, platform scalability, and ongoing product enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
• Build scalable web applications using React, Node.js, Express, and internal frameworks.
• Develop APIs and backend services to support mobile and web platforms.
• Configure and enhance multi-tenant platform functionality.
• Develop and maintain payment, billing, and wallet features.
• Support hardware and LPR integration initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in architectural planning.
• Monitor platform analytics and contribute to data-driven product improvements.
• Utilise AI development tools to improve software delivery and engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Strong React Native, React, Node.js, and Express development skills.
• Experience with MongoDB and Mongoose.
• Strong REST API development experience.
• Experience working with queue-based processing solutions.
• Familiarity with payment gateways and financial workflows.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS platforms and application security.
• Understanding of App Store and Google Play deployment processes.

Preferred Experience

• PostgreSQL.
• Event-driven systems such as SQS or EventBridge.
• Engineering specification writing.
• AI-assisted software development using modern coding tools.
• Software architecture and system design.
