This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious Financial Analyst looking to build a long-term career within the insurance industry while gaining exposure to budgeting, cost management, remuneration modelling, and financial planning. Company and Job Description Our client is a well-established player within the Financial Services sector, committed to delivering innovative insurance solutions. They are seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with key business stakeholders in driving financial performance through accurate budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial insights. You will play a pivotal role in managing expense allocations, analysing financial variances, developing remuneration models, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyse monthly financial results, identifying key variances and providing meaningful commentary. Monitor expense ratios and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Develop, review, and implement remuneration and incentive structures. Manage cost allocations across business units and ensure accurate expense reporting. Produce financial models, reports, and dashboards to support strategic decision-making. Partner with business leaders to provide commercial financial insights and performance analysis. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and cost management initiatives. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom or BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CIMA qualification (completed or currently in progress) will be highly advantageous. 3-6 years' experience in a Financial Analyst or Commercial Finance role within the Financial Services or Insurance industry. Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience. Solid understanding of expense management, cost allocations, and financial reporting. Experience developing remuneration or incentive models will be advantageous. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the business.
