Registered Nurse - Theatre Scrub Experienced

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Theatre Scrub experience to join a dynamic perioperative team in Durban. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated theatre nurse who is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality surgical care and thrives in a fast-paced operating theatre environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialised perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process

• Scrub and assist during a variety of surgical procedures
• Prepare operating theatres, instruments, and equipment for surgery
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention protocols
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey and promote positive clinical outcomes
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care

Minimum Requirements

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Postgraduate Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing will be advantageous
• Minimum of 3–5 years' Theatre Scrubbing experience preferred
• Candidates with Theatre Recovery experience will also be considered
• Sound knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and infection prevention practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
