SUMMARY

A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Revit Modeler to join its Building Services team in Umdloti, KZN North Coast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality electrical drawings and BIM models for a variety of building services projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced draughting professional who enjoys working within a consulting engineering environment.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit . Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for electrical building services. Produce electrical layouts for: Lighting and emergency lighting Small power and general power Cable routes and containment Distribution boards and electrical reticulation Fire detection and other electrical services, where applicable Prepare schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams and detailed construction drawings. Update drawings and models in accordance with engineer and client comments. Coordinate electrical services with architectural, structural and other building services disciplines. Identify and assist with resolving clashes and coordination issues within Revit models. Ensure drawings and models comply with company standards, project requirements and relevant drafting conventions. Assist engineers and project teams with the preparation of tender and construction documentation. Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control requirements. Attend coordination meetings when required. Requirements: Relevant qualification in Electrical Draughting, CAD, BIM, Engineering Drawing or a related field. Approximately 3-5 years' experience in electrical draughting and BIM modelling. Previous experience working on building services projects is essential. Experience within a consulting engineering environment is highly advantageous. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD . Good working knowledge and practical experience using Revit . Understanding of electrical building services systems and drawings. Ability to interpret engineering designs, sketches and specifications. Experience coordinating electrical services with other disciplines would be advantageous.
