Senior Contracts Manager (Renewable Energy)

Our client, a Professional Project Services company in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an accomplished Senior Contracts Manager to join its Project Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to lead the full contract lifecycle across major projects while driving contractual compliance, commercial risk management, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure contracts support successful project delivery and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer project contracts in accordance with client requirements and organisational policies.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including contract execution, amendments, change orders, variations, and claims.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Support dispute resolution and claims management through detailed contractual analysis and documentation.
• Serve as the primary client contact for contractual matters and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, corporate governance requirements, and audit standards.
• Maintain accurate contract records and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support tender submissions by reviewing commercial terms, contractual risks, and pricing strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within contract management processes.
• Mentor and develop contract management professionals while supporting resource planning across projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years' experience in contract management or commercial roles within project-driven industries.
• Extensive experience negotiating, administering, and managing complex contracts and commercial claims.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke contract forms.
• Excellent understanding of contract law, commercial risk management, and project delivery.
• Experience with CLM platforms, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or SAGE), and reporting tools such as Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Contract Management or Commercial Law.
• NEC Accreditation.
• FIDIC Certified Contract Manager.
• Advanced Dispute Resolution (ADR) accreditation.
• Negotiation and ISO 9001 Awareness certifications.
