SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

Job Description: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, design, and draughting teams across project phases Manage technical aspects of project engineering, design development, and drafting activities Monitor team performance and project progress, providing guidance, support, and technical leadership Coordinate engineering resources to ensure deliverables are completed within schedule and budget requirements Review, approve, and guide engineering designs, calculations, and technical deliverables Ensure compliance with established engineering procedures, design reviews, and change management processes Report progress and key project metrics to project management teams Drive productivity, efficiency, and collaboration across study and project teams Promote safety in design principles and ensure technical integrity throughout the engineering process Mentor Engineers-in-Training and contribute to succession planning and professional development initiatives Support continuous improvement and innovation across engineering and design functions Skills & Experience: Minimum 15 years' experience within mineral processing or related industries Experience within mineral processing projects will be advantageous Extensive experience in studies, project execution, and detailed design environments Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering design and project delivery Proven ability to lead and manage engineering and design teams in complex project environments Experience managing project risks, engineering deliverables, and resource allocation Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification Professional Registration with ECSA or equivalent professional body is essential Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Engineering, Management, or Business will be advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
