Counter Sales Representative – Vereeniging Reference: MID707 Location: Vereeniging Position Type: Permanent Salary & Benefits R25 000 – R35 000 per month (depending on experience) Commission structure Pension fund membership Limited medical aid contribution Job Purpose An established company is seeking an experienced Counter Sales Representative to manage over-the-counter sales, customer service, stock control, and administrative functions while ensuring excellent service delivery and maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Handle counter sales and customer orders. Assist customers via telephone, email, and in person. Process customer inquiries, complaints, and warranty claims. Capture sales orders on the ERP system. Manage COD transactions and customer payments. Order and maintain adequate stock levels, including batteries and related products. Perform daily and month-end stock counts. Operate the cash till and complete general sales administration. Maintain a clean and professional counter area. Support sales growth by identifying opportunities and referring leads to external sales representatives. Ensure company procedures and security protocols are followed. Perform any additional duties as required. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Sales qualification will be advantageous). Minimum of 3 years' counter or sales experience within the battery or tyre industry. Experience dealing with both corporate and retail customers. Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills. Knowledge of battery testing, fitment, and replacement. Computer literacy with ERP system experience advantageous. Valid driver's license.
